New home door card with key

My lovely granddaughter moved into her first home, a small flat, in October last year, to take up a job as a paediatric nurse at Birmingham Childrens Hospital. I stuck a picture of the interior of the flat inside the card so that it could be seen through the door which has an opening letterbox. The key is personalised with her name. She loved it and I'm happy to say she loves her little home and her job too.

- I retired from my job as a legal secretary just over 10 years ago and was then able to devote a lot more time to my passion for cardmaking and scrapbooking, although I have to say that I do far more cardmaking than scrapping. About 8 years ago I bought a craft robo and entered a whole new dimension of crafting. I started to design my own templates and have now developed my own style. When the Cameo was released with its larger capacity and deeper cutting I was in 7th heaven, apart from initial problems with the new ratchet blade (which have now been sorted). I derive enormous pleasure from designing, cutting and assembling my designs and sharing them freely with others on the UKS site (for personal use). I have four grandchildren, ranging in age from 23 years down to 8 years. I am enormously proud of my children and of my grandchildren. I love being a grandma - such a special relationship, quite different to a mother/child relationship. Crafting has brought me solace during difficult times and so much pleasure.
