One of my sisters has a birthday coming up in June and has she is so poorly I wanted to do something a little bit special for her. I was happy with this complicated little design, although the photo does not do it justice at all - it looks quite flat, but there is some dimension with the raised central mats. Decorated with ribbon and plenty of beads and done in shades of turquoise it makes a nice card. In fact I liked it so much that I did a similar one in shades of gold for my sister in law whose birthday is also in June.

This is the second Thank You card for the mentor and is 5 x 7 in size. It has broderie anglais borders top and bottom and central mats. Again I have decorated with beads and threaded sheer ribbon through the slots. I can see from the photo that one of the beads on the left hand side of the card has become dislodged so I must remember to replace it before I hand it over to the daughter! I usually use a good dollop of dries clear glue to secure my beads as I don't like to think they will drop off in the envelope. Again I was pleased with the way this one turned out.

My daughter asked me for a couple of Thank You cards - she is just finishing a community midwifery placement and wanted to say a special thank you to the team and to her mentor. This one is for the team and is A5 in size. I have used the daisy theme again and it makes a nice card. The central mat is embossed with the cuttlebug and the daisies have beaded centres. I was quite pleased with this one - hope my daughter is!
