Broderie Anglais step card

I've just finished this broderie anglais step card for my daughter in law's birthday at the beginning of next month. Unfortunately the photo is not as clear as I would have liked, probably due to the colours I've used which are a very pale pink for the top mat, blue underneath that and then pale mauve on the base card. However if you zoom right in you can see the effect a bit better. The result is quite nice to look at, but when the card is closed it does not lie as flat as I would have hoped. It was quite a fiddle to get the mats anywhere near the right size to sit on the steps so I'm not altogether happy with it. Oh well maybe the stepcard is not for me!
I have absolutely no idea why the above text is underscored

Easel Card

This was something of a labour of love and took me a long time to design, cut and piece together. I made it for my daughter's birthday back in May (happy to say she was suitably delighted with it!)

This was my first attempt at an easel card and I was reasonably pleased with it, although it was a bit of a faff (that's probably my fault though, the design just kept on getting more complicated)
