I've just finished this for my niece's birthday which is not till November so I am getting ahead of myself on the birthday cards. This means I will now be able to start my Christmas cards (!) Something I have been putting off I'm afraid
- well there's no excuse for delaying it any longer so I'll have to crack on with it. Only 2 more birthdays to make for before Christmas.
The design for this card was a very simple concept but it is quite pleasing to look at. I shall put the template on UKS once I get it tidied up.

I was asked for a Ruby Wedding card and this is what I came up with. It has a circular apperture, some simple
ribbon slots surrounded by a circle of dots. The wineglasses mat is then layered on top with 3d foam. The wording is stencil cut and a piece of coloured card placed behind the design. A separate insert was made for the inside - I was pleased with the way it turned out.

This is a shadow box card with a fancy edge that I've just finished for my niece's dreaded 40th next month. I just don't know where the years have gone and I'm sure I'm not alone in that! One minute your kids are small and the next they've got kids of their own - ah well.
I have to say I am rather pleased with this particular labour of love it went together quite easily. The base card front and back was cut in a pale mauve 220 gsm
and the base of the "box" is a purple 170 gsm concept card. I've threaded a narrow mauve satin ribbon through the ribbon slots and decorated the flowers with gutermann beads. I shall be putting the template for this on the UKS site once I've tidied it up a bit

This was very quickly designed in response to a request from my granddaughter who wanted a card (must be blue) for a friend's 18th birthday. I used the daisy design from the broderie anglais card for quickness and although it is a simple concept it turned out rather well I thought. I made the little chain which attaches the tag from a length of peeloff chain doubled over and stuck to form a chain - bit of a fiddle that! I think she was pleased with it!
This was a card I designed for my daughter on law's birthday in July. I was aiming for the broderie anglais look and I have to say I was pleased with the way it turned out. All the components are quite simple but the way it has come together is pleasing. I used 220 gsm card for the base and the top layers are concept 170 gsm card which has a lovely lustrous sheen to it. I shall find out tomorrow whether she was pleased with it!
