Someone special

My eldest granddaughter was 19 in February and I was a bit stumped and a bit short of time to come with anything new. I have stencil cut the text and used a couple of rectangular mats which I have "cuttlebugged". The oval mat with ribbon slots is simply done and I have attached some lace to the underside of it. The font used for Anna is Fontleroy Brown which is a favourite of mine. The mini roses add a nice finishing touch!

I was asked for an 80th birthday card recently and this was the end result. Quite simply done with ribbon slots round a central circular apperture, text and butterfly welded to apperture and a couple of butterflies in the corner. I have used silver mirri paper to back the text and the butterfly bodies and unfortunately the camera shows it as black. The butterfly wings are cut so that they lift up from the card, but are still attached at the side of the body iykwim!

Cameo thank you

I was pleased with the cameo birthday so when my granddaughter asked me to do a thank you card for her to give to mentor I designed this one. Again the cameo is from Faces from the Past which I had to edit in order to cut it well. I'm not sure if I like this one or not, it's a bit on the busy side, but my granddaughter was well pleased with it!

Cameo birthday

I made this for a very old friend who is celebrating her 70th birthday very soon. The cameo is from the font Faces from the Past. I had to do a bit of editing on the image so that it would cut well on the robo and I was pleased with the end result - hope she will like it!

Tartan card

It's my DH's birthday today (shan't mention how old he is!) I racked my poor brain to try and come up with an idea for a card without much success. As he is a Scot and we all joke about him having short arms and deep pockets I though he might like a wee sporran to keep his baubees safe!! He's not at all mean really just a bit careful! He liked the card.

Another variation on chrysanthemum card

I suddenly realised it is my cousin's birthday on the 11th of this month and quickly put together with this card which is fairly flat for posting. The butterfly wings and the chrysanthemum petals just lift up from the card to give them a bit of dimension. I have backed it with silver mirri paper and unfortunately the photo does not really do it justice

Merry Little Christmas (1)

The first of the Merry Little Christmas "series"! Rectangular snowflake mats this time and central mat has green satin ribbon threaded through with the central poinsetta again. Again I am quite pleased with this one!
