This is the card I designed for my middle sister's birthday next month. Gold and white are the colours this time, to tone in with the sepia photograph. It amazes me that a photo taken 70 odd years ago can still be so sharp and fresh and clear. They obviously knew a thing or two in those days!

I designed this card for my elder sister's birthday, white and pale mauve are the colours, decorated with ribbon and beads. The photo is one of our dear late mother, taken in the 1930s when she was a young Mum. My sister loved it so much, she keeps it standing on her sideboard - I think I'll have to buy her a frame to put it in! She insisted that I make a similar card for my middle sister's birthday in June so I have blogged that one sparately

This is a card I have just finished making for my granddaughter's birthday. It was very much a labour of love and I spent many hours re-jigging the design of both the dress and the base card. I knew how I wanted it to look but it took me a long time to get it anywhere near, but I am now reasonably satisfied with it (just as well really because her birthday is on Mar 11th). My working template needs a lot of tidying up but I shall put it on UKS as soon as I've done it.

Hope the granddaughter likes it after all this - I think she will as she was admiring the pink holographic paper the other day!

Just thought I'd like to design a little card for Valentine's Day, although I suppose it could be used for other occasions as the wording is not specific. I enjoyed designing and making this card although I have no-one to send it to (aaaah!) My other half certainly would not appreciate it - he doesn't hold with such romantic nonsense!

I shall put the template on the UKS site shortly.

Rectangular scalloped topper

This is a slight variation on my previous scalloped topper. I have added ribbon, beads and the good old mulberry flowers and am quite pleased with the end result. Designed by me and cut on my trusty craft robo (what would I do without it!)

I shall put the template on the UKS site once I've tidied it up a bit.

Scalloped card

Just finished this card for a friend's birthday next month. It was a simple idea, but quite effective. Finished with seed beads and mulberry flowers - I was quite pleased with the finished item. I will put the template on the UKS site when I have tidied it up.

Just finished this card for my granddaughter in the hope that she will pass her driving test which she is to take shortly (she hasn't said exactly when!)

I spent a long time on this card, trying to get the outline of the car just right (it's supposed to be a Vauxhall Corsa). I wanted to make it girly so I cut the car in pink holographic sticky backed paper. The windows are sparkly wrapping paper which I can just about cut on the craft robo. The tyres are sticky backed velvet paper and the wheels are the sparkly wrapping paper. To make it more girly I put borders of the pink and silver on a 6 inch square card and then I designed a simple mat to put it all on. The text is done on an arc and cut in the pink and silver, the font being Hey Gorgeous. All in all I am quite pleased with the end result, although the photo doesn't really do it justice. Just hope she will pass after all this!! She will eventually and I shall have her card ready.
