Lacy gatefold

This is the card I designed for my sister's birthday at the end of March.  I was pleased with the way this turned out, it's delicate and lacy but strong enough to stand nicely and fold flat for posting. I cut the base card in centura pearl 300 gsm and cut panels from one of the lovely in lace papers.  The centre circle is also from Kanban's lovely in lace collection and I have adhered some lace round the edge of that to complete the look.  Once I have tidied up my working file I shall post it on the UKS site.  My sis was delighted with her card!

Steampunk shadowbox 80th card

My brother in law has his 80th birthday this month and as he was an engineer I thought he might like a few cogs and wheels!  This is a shadow box card - the mats are cut in mirri paper and the light has caught it - I find it's well nigh impossible to photograph mirri card/paper without the light catching it somewhere. It is quite effective and I was pleased with the end result.  Again the template will be posted on the UK Scrappers site.

Home sweet home

My eldest grandaughter is climbing onto the property ladder and will be completing on her first house this month at the age of 23.  She has done incredibly well to achieve this and I know it has been a struggle for her - I am so proud of her.  I thought to mark the occasion with this card.  I'm still not sure if the bird cage is the right image for a new home card, although the door is open so the bird is not imprisoned.

The template as always will be on the UKS site as soon as I've tidied up my working file.
