Here's hoping everyone had a great Christmas - we did but ate far too much!!
2010 is fast approaching and I wish a Happy and Peaceful New Year to all - I have high hopes of 2010 - I feel it is going to be a good year!
The first of the 2010 birthdays is not far away and I have created this card for my very good friend Angela. It is a simple design done with the craft robo and decorated with ribbon, beads and mulberry flowers. The "lining" paper is some wrapping paper that I bought some time ago - gives it a nice sparkle which does not show very well on the photo unfortunately. The Happy Birthday text is also cut in sparkly paper.
I shall be putting the template for this card on the UK scrappers site shortly.
Best wishes to all for 2010!

This little "bouquet" of roses was devised using the fonts "Roses, Roses" and "More Roses". It took quite a bit of fiddling to get it just how I wanted it and I have taken a few liberties with the fonts, but I was quite pleased with the end result.
The base card is ordinary white 230 gsm card and I have lined it with Conqueror Concept Golden Haze 160 gsm card which gives it a nice lustrous finish (which isn't apparent from the photo). A few beads add the finishing touch.

70th card
Just finished this card - done to a design I have used previously, but modified slightly. Cut in 170 gsm Conqueror concept card and the base card is ordinary 230 gsm white card. Chiffon ribbon and pink Gutermann Rocailles no 9 beads finish it off nicely. The "70" is glittered and placed on a mirri mat.

This is the (more or less) finished card, I just need to come up with a suitable insert for it. I love to decorate my designs with seed beads and I have used Gutermann rocailles size 9 for this. I have used paper flowers to make the centre posy, together with some "grass" (made by snipping a small piece of green card) and some more beads. I am quite pleased with the end result and hope my niece will like it!
Shaped card and mats
This is the "bare bones" of the card I have designed for my niece's birthday in November (thought I'd do it now so I can concentrate on Christmas!) I only have one more birthday to make for before Christmas
You can see the finished card below. I have cut the two mats in 170gsm Conqueror Concept card and I have cut the "lining" in 90gsm pearlised paper. The base card is an ordinary bog standard 230 gsm white card.

Please have a look at the slideshow I have added and if anyone would like to make any comments I would be very grateful! I shall be adding more photos as soon as I can find the time to do so.
New to this game!
I am very new to this blogging game and quite nervous about publishing content on the internet. However I have been asked by a lady in the US if she could have a link for some of the (crafting) work I have undertaken so here goes. This blog is mainly for her benefit and those ladies who attend her crafting sessions
