Double diamond fold 18th Birthday

This is the card I have designed for my middle granddaughter's 18th birthday next month.  It was a bit fiddly to assemble and I found the most difficult part to be sticking the fragile mats onto the offset mats, I used a wet glue in the end, but it was a bit fraught.  Great care was needed to lift the mats from the carrier sheet but with a bit of patience it can be done!  The template is shared on the UKS site as usual.

Double diamond fold card

I saw a double diamond fold card on Create and Craft recently which was made from a single sheet of A4 - I have adapted the idea for cutting with the Cameo and this card is made in 3 sections glued together.  My nephew has a birthday this month and I thought this would be an ideal card for him  The template for the diamond fold is shared on UKS and I used the same template for an 18th birthday card for my granddaughter

Semi circular birthday mats

This was a quickly designed card which I made in a big hurry.  Basically I just made a circle, cut it in half and inset the 2 semicircles and made  a path.  I then put the text in and filled it up with scrolls and welded it all together and cut it and put it on a gatefold card.  The mat inside is a simple lattice with happy birthday in the centre.  I'm not particularly keen on this one, I don't think it is one of my better efforts so I haven't bothered putting the template on UKS.

Someone Special Birthday upstand

A very dear friend of mine has her birthday in November and I think she will like this.  I have again used centura pearl 300 gsm card.  I cut it all in white and lightly chalked the overlay mat and the flowers on the upstand.  Some of my favourite beads just finish it off nicely.  The template is on UKS as usual.

Basic Christmas upstands

These are variations on a theme - basically snowflakes.  The top two were cut from centura pearl 300 gsm card and the blue one is adorable scorable.  It's quite surprising how well these cut, although I do use a double cut.  The files as always are freely shared on the UKS site

Christmas Upstand

Following on from the birthday upstand, this is my Christmas one,  I have cut this in Centura Pearl 300gsm and it cut well (I used a double cut with the blade set on 5 and thickness 33) - my blade is probably not as sharp as it was as I have been using it a long time.  I've decorated the mat with beads, and also the upstand.  It will be quite flat for posting and you can get two base cards out of one sheet of A4 so it is quite economical!

Birthday upstand

This one is for my niece's birthday in November - I'm trying to get all my birthday cards finished so I can start on the Christmas cards!!  I fiddled about with this design for quite a time before I was satisfied with the way it looks.  I put a piece of Centura Pearl 300 gsm through my printer so it was a pale mauve colour.  It cut really well on the Cameo, although I did do a double cut.  I was quite pleased with the semi-circular border which is cut in the same card as the main card, the font is arial, made into a stencil by use of the knife tool on the Cameo.  A few beads as flower centres just finishes it off nicely.  The template is shared on uks as usual.
