"For You"
Pop up Butterfly mark 2
Pop up Butterfly card
This was my attempt at a pop up butterfly card! I can't tell you how long I fiddled about with this and I still wasn't really that happy with the result. The butterfly just wouldn't quite do what I wanted it to! however I did enter it into Graphtec's competition and was pleased to receive an email from them to say how much they liked it and that they would try to use it in the next Create and Craft cameo show. I did eventually manage to get my butterfly to pop up properly (I don't like to be beaten) by means of using a V shaped piece of acetate - this is on my next post.
Birthday Wishes
I designed this card for one of my sisters whose birthday was in June. I've decorated the lattice work with beads - took me quite a while to do it, but I do find it very therapeutic! She loved it!
Lattice birthday
I designed this card for my daughter in law's birthday at the beginning of July - I've deliberately not added much dimension to it to keep it fairly flat for posting! A simply made card, but quite effective. The font is Fontleroy Brown which is one of my favourites. It sometimes requires a bit of reshaping in parts so that it will cut well on the cameo.

Special birthday
My daughter has one of those "special" birthdays coming up next month. She doesn't want a lot of attention drawn to her age so I have just popped a discreet "40" in the centre! It would be quite easy to adapt this template to any age or even add text instead of an age. Again the template is on the UKS site.
On your Wedding Day
My daughter asked me to design a card for a work colleague who was getting married at Easter. It took me quite a while to get this one just right and I'm afraid the photo doesn't do it justice because the colours are quite pale. I was pleased with the way it looked in the end and so was my daughter.
